The O’Dowd women’s 4 x 400 relay team (Marnae Glover ’19, Tierra Robinson-Jones ’18, Lauryn Moore ’17 and Jasmine Powell ’19) raced to a first place finish, going 3-minutes, 46.33 seconds, at the 99th California Interscholastic Federation state track and field championships, held at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High School in Clovis on June 3. .
Individually, Tierra Robinson-Jones took second place in the 400-meter dash, from lane 8, clocking in at 53.24 – ranking her at #1 in the North Coast Section, #2 in California, and #10 in the country in the event. .
Hana Johnson ’17 made the finals in the triple jump, leaping 39-feet, 6 _ inches to secure 8th place. She is ranked #3 in the North Coast Section, #8 in California, and #77 in the United States in the event.
The 4 x 100 relay team (Jordan Jones ’19, Glover, Powell and Robinson-Jones) placed fourth, going 46.94. .
Overall the Dragons placed fourth overall at the state meet – with just six girls competing.
