Rio Galicia ’19 placed first in California and was a finalist in the World of 7 Billion video contest, sponsored by Population Education. Her video, entered in the biodiversity category, was inspired by an O’Dowd science field research trip to Yellowstone National Park. Galicia has been very active in Living Lab activities and is headed to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to study agricultural engineering.
