O’Dowd Grand Reunion a Big Hit

Close to 200 alumni returned to campus on June 2 for the inaugural O’Dowd Grand Reunion – Party on the Quad.

This event was geared for all classes scheduled to hold reunions in 2018, and provided an opportunity for alumni to connect with classmates, friends and favorite faculty and staff on the O’Dowd campus. Each class had its own designated gathering space.

“The Grand Reunion was truly a celebration and most definitely lived up to its name – Party on the Quad! It was wonderful to see so many alums coming back to O’Dowd and having a great time. It was a joy to honor our alumni and welcome them back home,” Director of Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy LizaDawn Aduviso said.

The Quad was transformed into a fabulous party space, with music, fun games and activities, as well as delicious food – including paella, brats and sliders – and beverages.

Alumni also had the opportunity to tour the campus, enjoy a cooking workshop with fresh produce from the Living Lab, take fun photo booth candids, and share their personal stories of their O’Dowd experiences.

Several former and current faculty members were on hand, including Tom Tyler, Tony Green, Gary Mason, Doug Vierra and Fran Warmerdam.

“Awesome young people turned into awesome adults,” Warmerdam said.
