Coming off a strong week NCS Playoffs continue this week for the Dragons with several home hosted competitions.
Volleyball– The Dragons come off a dominant win over Windsor last week and will play the #5 seed Carondolet on Wednesday, November 8th here at O’Dowd, 7pm start time. Winner of this semi-final round will advance to the NCS Finals vs either #2 Campolindo or #3 Newark Memorial, to be played on November 11th.
Girls Tennis- Milan McCroden and Evian Jiang move on to compete in the next round of NCS doubles playoffs to be held Tuesday, November 14th.
Boys Water Polo- The Varsity boys come off a big win last week defending higher seeded Alhambra High School to advance to the NCS Semi-finals to be played Wednesday, November 8th vs #1 seed Marin Academy. Game will be hosted at Sir Francis Drake High School at 4:45pm. Winner advances to the NCS finals vs #2 Alameda or #3 Livermore.
Cross Country– The varsity boys defended their league title and placed first as a team lead by senior Cole Kretlow who won the race, followed closely in 2nd by his teammate junior Tommy Murphy. The O’Dowd varsity girls placed second as a team with junior Isabella Brusco leading the Dragons with a 3rd place finish. Next up for the Dragons is the NCS Championship on Saturday November 18th at Hayward High School. Girls race starts at 11:35am with the Boys following at 1:05pm.
Football– The Dragons defended their league title last Friday night with a big win over San Leandro High School earning them the #4 seed in the NCS playoff bracket. The first round of NCS playoffs begin this week with the Dragons playing #13 Terra Linda on Saturday, November 11th at O’Dowd- game to start at 1pm. Winner will advance to the quarter finals to be played next week vs. #5 Acalanes or #12 Petaluma.
