O’Dowd’s amazing Community in Diversity was celebrated at the annual Multicultural Assembly held on March 23. It was one of several activities – including special cultural lunches – held during Multicultural Week.
In addition to the traditional parade of flags, students from various campus cultural clubs performed creative acts and former O’Dowd Campus Ministry Team member Bryce Grandison ’15 spoke to students.
Currently an honor roll student at Laney College, where he played football for the past two years, Grandison earned a scholarship to play football at Azusa Pacific University next fall. He’s also an ordained minister at Love Temple Missionary Baptist Church.
Grandison encouraged students to embrace all the dimensions that make the O’Dowd community unique and special, and to make a special effort to reach out to others.
