Congratulations to the men’s lacrosse team for a banner season. The Dragons completed one of programs most successful seasons. They captured the Diablo Valley Athletic League title with an undefeated league record of 10-0. During the season, these young men demonstrated exemplary performance in the classroom to earn the highest honor from the North Coast Section (NCS), a Scholastic Team Championship banner.
They achieved the highest team average GPA of 3.54 among all sixty-six NCS schools who sponsor boy’s lacrosse. For the first time the program’s history, the Dragons earned the No. 2 seed in the NCS Division II playoffs and went on to win three straight playoff games to earn a trip to NCS Championship game against Marin Catholic, the two-time defending champions. In the NCS championship game, the Dragons came up short losing 9-18 to earn a runner-up finish and their third banner of the season (DVAL League Championship, NCS Scholastic Team Championship, NCS DII Runner-up). The team finished the season with an overall record of 18-4. Congratulations to the players and coaches for your hard work, dedication, and team work. The entire O’Dowd community is proud of all your accomplishments. Go Dragons!
