The men’s and women’s cross country teams placed 8th and 10th respectively in the Division 4 race at the CIF Cross Country State Championship meet held at Woodward Park in Fresno on November 26.
Standout performances came from Aaron Gonzalez ’17, who placed in the top 35 with his time of 16-minutes, 20-seconds, a personal best, and Emma Wawrzynek ’17, who finished the race in 19:06, also a personal best time. Jeneeva Toolajian ’19 improved her time by over 5 minutes from last year.
With both the men’s and women’s teams finishing in the top 10, this was the best O’Dowd overall combined finish at the state meet since 2000. Congratulations to all the team members and coaches!
