Seven O’Dowd students participated in the Arrupe Leaders Summit February 1-3, 2019, at Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center in Santa Cruz, California. Students from eight high schools nationwide came together to contemplate being leaders for social justice on their campuses.
Our participants were juniors Justin Walker, Kamryn Thomas, Javiera Quezada, Isaac Kim-Tran, Venice Albania, Jacob Tamor and Joe Sweeney. They participated in small group simulations, leadership challenges, and listened to inspirational stories based on the life of Father Pedro Arrupe, former Superior General of the Society of Jesus.
