Why I Teach:

I teach so I can empower students to discover and develop their God-given gifts and talents for service with and for others, especially the most vulnerable and marginalized.

Most powerful teaching technique:

Imagination! To encounter God and others through visualization, essentially entering into a story using all of your senses, is a full body experience that opens up your mind, heart, body, and spirit!

Why are the subjects you teach important?:

Religious Studies help students answer the existential questions, "Who am I choosing to become?", "Why do I believe what I believe?", and "What is capital T - Truth?"

Favorite quotes:

"We discover on the streets Our Common Humanity." - Motto of Faithful Fools "Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (AMDG - For the Greater Glory of God)!" - Motto of the Society of Jesus

Favorite trivia:

Recommended visual media:

"Miracle", God's Not Dead", "The Pursuit of Happyness", and "Remember the Titans"

Recommended reads:

"The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman, "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch, and "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom

Hobbies or outside interests:

Playing the piano, singing, liturgical ministry, watching mixed martial arts, professional wrestling, football, and movies, and going on adventures with my family!
