Why I Teach:
To garner curiosity about language and cultures other than their own. To be give students one more adult in their life that sees their value and inspires them to become the best version of themselves.
Most powerful teaching technique:
Giving students choice and ownership, allowing them to set up our classroom agreements and consequences.
Why are the subjects you teach important?:
Students who speak more than 1 language are more likely to perform better in other academic areas and they are more likely to have empathy towards people viewed as "other".
